How to export your customer data from Pet Sitter Plus
Short answer
You can export your client list from Pet Sitter Plus under Clients, then Export Clients, as a CSV. Your schedule, invoices and payments each have their own CSV download. There is no export of full pet records, so ask Pet Sitter Plus in writing for a copy before you cancel. Their terms give you only ten days after the contract ends to ask.

Notice and cancelling
Pet Sitter Plus is a rolling monthly subscription that you can cancel at any time without penalty. Payment for each month is taken at the start of the month, and fees are non refundable.
You tell Pet Sitter Plus through its contact page, then delete your card under Account Summary, Payment Methods. Once the card is gone, no further subscription payment can be taken and your subscription lapses.
What happens to your customers' saved cards
Card details are held by Stripe, through your own Stripe account connected to Pet Sitter Plus. PayPal stores no card details, and owners start each PayPal payment themselves.
Pet Sitter Plus's help centre says disconnecting Stripe is irreversible, and that all credit card data and auto authorisations are deleted. Take your last automatic payments and set up payments in your new system before you disconnect. No way of moving saved cards is documented, so plan for owners adding their card again.
What happens to your data after you leave
Clause 14.3.3 of the terms says Pet Sitter Plus may destroy your data unless it receives a written request, within ten days of the contract ending, for your most recent backup. They aim to deliver it within 30 days once all fees are paid, and you pay their reasonable costs.
Ask before you cancel and you avoid the deadline altogether.
We move you over
Bring your Pet Sitter Plus customers into Genera
We built Genera to look after Duncan's Dog Co, our licensed daycare in Surrey. When a daycare or dog walker comes to us from Pet Sitter Plus, this is how the move works.
- 1You upload your Pet Sitter Plus export yourself.Inside your Genera account, you bring in owners and their pets from a CSV file, with names, contact details, address, breed, date of birth, microchip and notes. You can download a template that shows the columns, so nobody has to type every dog in again.
- 2Nobody gets an email until you are ready.Owners go in without a portal invite. When you want them on board, one button invites everyone who hasn't got access yet.
- 3You keep Pet Sitter Plus going for a month. It is monthly, so take the same bookings in both and cancel once you are happy. The 30 day free trial has every feature switched on, with no card to start.
- 4Bookings start in Genera.Owners and pets come across, and bookings don't, so each owner books their regular days in Genera once they have their invite.
- 5Payments go to you.Owners pay by card or Direct Debit through your own Stripe or GoCardless account, whichever you switch on, or by bank transfer. Direct Debits don't move across from another system. If you switch Direct Debit on, owners set it up before they can make their first booking, so there are no reminders to chase.
Plans are £50, £75 or £99 a month, with no setup fee and no contract.
