How to export your customer data from Gingr
Short answer
Gingr gives you two full backups from Admin, Manage Data: your whole database as one SQL file, and a zip of your files and photos by email. For spreadsheets you can open yourself, export View All Owners and the Reservations by Date Range report to CSV. Check your renewal date as well, because Gingr's terms ask for 60 days' written notice before it.

Good to know
Gingr's notice and renewal
Gingr's terms say your subscription term is set on your Order and renews automatically for the same length. To stop it renewing, you give written notice at least 60 days before the renewal. Send it to support@gingrapp.com, with a copy to legal@togetherwork.com, as the terms ask.
Fees are non refundable, even if you stop using Gingr part way through a term. Gingr bills monthly in advance in US dollars, and its terms are governed by the laws of Delaware.
What happens to your customers' cards on file
Gingr Payments is built on Stripe and is supported in the UK. Gingr's own help centre says cards on file cannot move even between its own two payment processors, so customers re-enter their cards. Moving cards is offered only when a business is sold, between the same processor, as a paid service.
Plan for owners adding their card again in your new system.
What happens to your data after you leave Gingr
Gingr's terms say that for 30 days after your agreement ends, Gingr will give you "a file of all Customer Content in a standard format" if you ask. Gingr may charge an hourly rate for that, but only with your written approval first.
After those 30 days, Gingr may delete everything. The terms also say you own and keep all rights in your Customer Content.

Bring your Gingr customers into Genera
We built Genera to look after Duncan's Dog Co, our licensed daycare in Surrey. When a daycare or boarder comes to us from Gingr, this is how the move works.
- 1You upload your Gingr export yourself.Inside your Genera account, you bring in owners and their pets from a CSV file, with names, contact details, address, breed, date of birth, microchip and notes. You can download a template that shows the columns, so nobody has to type every dog in again.
- 2Nobody gets an email until you are ready.Owners go in without a portal invite. When you want them on board, one button invites everyone who hasn't got access yet.
- 3You keep Gingr going while you try Genera.Take real bookings in Genera before you send Gingr your notice. The 30 day free trial has every feature switched on, with no card to start.
- 4Bookings start in Genera.Owners and pets come across, and bookings don't, so each owner books their regular days in Genera once they have their invite.
- 5Payments go to you.Owners pay by card or Direct Debit through your own Stripe or GoCardless account, whichever you switch on, or by bank transfer. Direct Debits don't move across from another system. If you switch Direct Debit on, owners set it up before they can make their first booking, so there are no reminders to chase.
Plans are £50, £75 or £99 a month, with no setup fee and no contract.
